In this ring making workshop we will make several types of forged rings from either brass, steel or both. We will use torches, hammers, anvils and other small tools to create unique ring designs. The class runs from 11-4 with a 30 minute lunch break at noon (you can either bring a lunch or order from the two restaurants on site.) The first hour will be demonstrations and an explanation of the tools and techniques. After a quick lunch, students will then create as many rings as they would like for the remainder of the class! The price for the class includes all the materials. 
 
 
For groups of 4 or more, classes can be scheduled. Children under 18 (who are physically big enough to use the equipment) can take a class with a parent or guardian present.
 
Students MUST wear closed toed shoes to the class. Eye protection will be provided and must be worn. It is strongly suggested to wear cotton clothes, as synthetic fabrics can melt and burn.
 
Classes are held outdoors and may be canceled due to predicted bad weather or low enrollment. If a class is canceled, you will be given minimum 24 hours notice and a full refund.
 
Cancellation policy: If you cancel with 72 hours or more notice of the classes start time you get a full refund, 48-24 hours notice is a 50% refund, less than 24 hours notice there are no refunds. If you are late you might not be able to finish the class in the alotted time slot.
 
This activity takes place about 20 minutes away from Deep Creek Lake and is a perfect family friendly activity to do!
